What Can I Make?

Where does your blog name, Sucre & Spice, come from?
It's a reference to my favorite macaron and sweet shop in New Orleans, Sucre. Yummmm macarons.

What is your design background?
No design degrees, I am self taught. I taught myself to sew, with help from books, and taught myself to screen print, with the help of a starter kit DVD. There are so many great resources available for people learning crafts on their own, the best way to learn is through trial and error!

How do you have time to do all this?
I don't really have time to do all this! My mantra lately is if you never try, you never know!

Are you really a movie star?
Well, actually, yes I am! I was in Dirty Dancing when I was 7; you can see me in the gazebo dancing the merengue. I was also in What about Bob when I was 13. I walked Frank Oz's dog behind Bill Murray. "Uncle Bill"gave me a little shoulder rub during set break :)

Will you guest blog for me?
I'll be glad to consider it! If you'd like me to guest blog for you, please contact me with information on your blog and the type of project you are interested in.

Where does your inspiration come from?
I have awesome kids and a creative husband, brilliant friends, and Pinterest at my fingertips. I see things and I like them and I want to make them in my own style, or it gives me an idea for something else.

Do you make money crafting?
Yes! My crafting hobby turned into Sucre Shop where I design and create wooden utensils. For more information on Sucre Shop please email info@sucreshop.com THANKS!
